İTÜ Wind Blows at Teknofest 2020
İTÜ student teams' projects made a strong impression at the technology competitions held in different categories within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2020 Gaziantep, which was held for the third time this year and held outside of Istanbul for the first time. Our two best-placed teams received their awards from our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

İTÜ Project Achievement in Turkey's Technology Breakthrough
TEKNOFEST is carried out under the leadership of the ‘Turkish Technology Team Foundation’ and the Ministry of Industry and Technology. It sets out with the slogan of National Technological Breakthrough and aims for a society that produces the technology. İTÜ projects catch the eye at TEKNOFEST that is carried out with the support of Turkey's leading technology companies, public institutions, media organizations, and universities.
Our 23 technology teams, which were among the most successful teams in TEKNOFEST2020 Technology Competitions, to which 11898 students from 175 universities in total applied, successfully represented our University at the finals held in Gaziantep between September 24-27.
Our Students' Took the Award From Our President
İTÜ wind blew in Gaziantep at the world’s biggest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, TEKNOFEST2020. Our technology teams left their mark on the competitions with their projects. Our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented the medals to our Seyyal Team, which came first in the Jet Engine Design competition, and to our İTÜ Beecopter Team, which came first in the Helicopter Design competition.
Full Support From Our Rector To Our Students
Our Rector Prof.Dr. İsmail Koyuncu and our Vice-Rector Prof.Dr. Hüseyin Kızıl shared the excitement of our students at the TEKNOFEST2020 award ceremony held in Gaziantep. Taking photos with our students with their awards, Prof.Dr. İsmail Koyuncu made a statement on his social media account: “I would like to thank firstly to our President, who pioneered the organization of the world's largest technology competitions; then to everyone who contributed to TEKNOFEST2020. For me, success is the endeavor of our students who struggle to reach their dreams. It was a great pleasure to be with you. I'm proud of you all".
Two awards from our Apis R&D Team at TEKNOFEST 2020
Our Apis R&D Team came second in the Türksat Model Satellite Competition and third in the TÜBİTAK Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) Competition in TEKNOFEST 2020. Our Vefa Rocket Teams made the closing of TEKNOFEST 2020 with an award. Our young Mimar Sinan Vefa Rocket Team came second in the "Rocket Competition High Altitude Category", while our "Vefa Unmanned Systems Team" came third in the Low Altitude Category of the Rocket Competition.
